It was reported to school officials that a symbol of hate was found in a girls’ bathroom at Central High School.

Please be assured that this reprehensible behavior will not be tolerated and does not reflect our school district or community as a whole. As a school community, we will continue to teach tolerance to our students and reinforce the importance of acceptance of all students.

As we continue to investigate this incident, please be assured that the person(s) responsible will be disciplined in the appropriate manner. The district has also contacted the Nassau County Police Department to inform them of this situation.
