At the Feb. 11 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bill Heidenreich and school officials recognized approximately 100 students who earned various honors in music.

The honorees included four students who were selected as All-State musicians for the New York State School Music Association Winter Conference, 88 who participated in the Nassau Music Educators Association All-County Festival, and eight who were chosen for the Long Island String Festival.

Dr. Heidenreich, Board of Education President Elise Antonelli and District Coordinator of Fine and Performing Arts Todd Holly presented students with certificates of recognition and congratulated them on their fine achievements.
