North High School sophomore Rose DioLallevi, who plays the violin, has been selected as a finalist in the Honors Orchestra for the 2015 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. In addition, senior Aaron Chiang has been selected as a semifinalist/alternate for the program. Should a space become available, he will become a finalist and participate in the event.

The High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall was established to showcase some of the most talented student performers in high school today. Through an individual nomination and selection process, accomplished students are brought together in New York City with peers to comprise the Honors Choir and Honors Instrumental Ensembles.

Rose, who will participate in a six-day, five-night program with student-musicians from the U.S., Canada and select international schools, was chosen through a rigorous application and violin audition process.

The High School Honors Performance Series is scheduled for February 2015.
