Members Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School’s World of Difference and BRAVE clubs spread meaningful messages all throughout the building after school on Jan. 29, leaving inspiring words for students to be greeted by on the morning of Feb. 1.

The Positive Post-It activity was developed as a way to help all students feel good about themselves and also emphasized the value of random acts of kindness.
As they walked down the halls, the Memorial students were met with notes on their lockers that brought smiles and encouragement. By posting memos such as, “Believe in yourself,” “Keep trying,” “Stay strong,” “Never be afraid to be different” and “Follow your dreams,” the club participants helped to start their peers’ days brightly and with good intentions.
