The Valley Stream Central High School District will hold a Residency Advisory Committee meeting on Monday, June 27 at 7 p.m. in the District Office Board Room located at One Kent Road. All interested community members are welcome to attend.

The focus of this meeting will be to review residency data and address any concerns related to residency. The district works in partnership with town and village officials to identify any cases of students attending the community’s public schools who reside in illegal apartments or do not hold residence within the district boundaries. VSCHSD uses a proactive approach to inform all new registrants of the repercussions of such actions.

Key participants will include administrators from each of the elementary districts, as well as Board of Education members and village representatives. “It is our responsibility to ensure that residency policies are being followed and our educational services are being provided to the proper populations of families and students,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bill Heidenreich.

To report suspected illegal attendance, please call our Residency Hotline at 872-5677.
