Valley Stream Central HS District Honors AP Scholars

The Valley Stream Central High School District recognized its AP Scholar Award recipients at the Oct. 5 Board of Education Meeting. These distinctions are presented by the College Board based on students’ Advanced Placement examination performances.

The district offers an assortment of AP courses, which are of college-level rigor, at Central, North and South high schools. Students took the AP exams last spring as a culmination of the classes in which they participated. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bill Heidenreich and Board of Education President Cristobal Stewart presented certificates that acknowledged exceptional scores and effort.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school. Students can earn college credit, advanced placement or both based on successful performance on the AP exams. The district congratulates the following students:
