Valley Stream South High School held its first Family Service Day on Saturday, Nov. 19. Students and parents worked together to fill 44 baskets with food and a gift cards to a local supermarket. These baskets will be distributed throughout the Valley Stream community to those in need. Members of South’s student clubs, Parents Club and PTSA, along with staff and parent volunteers, contributed to this worthwhile cause by providing items for the baskets and obtaining the gift card donations. This event was just one example of South putting its motto into action…“Small acts of kindness make a Big Difference!”
