Performer, Writer and Creator Dyllon Burnside visited members of the Valley Stream Central High School District’s Performing Arts program on Feb. 1 and shared his inspiring story. He asked students, "what do you want to do?" and expressed how putting their dreams and goals out into the world can be the first step in achieving them.

Burnside stars in the Broadway musical, “Holler if Ya Hear Me” and played Lost Boy Prickles in NBC’s live adaptation of “Peter Pan.” He has many other film/TV credits to his name and has worked with famed directors and artists.

While presenting in Valley Stream, Burnside discussed his rise to success as the result of years of dedication, creativity and persistence; at age 12, he initiated the successful musical group, 3D. His work ended up earning spotlight with Radio Disney and alongside famous performers on concert stages, and he realized his passion for writing songs.

The visit was encouraging and motivating for the students, and led them to think about the many possibilities that are available to them.
