Several talented students from the Valley Stream Central High School District have earned spots in exhibits for their outstanding artwork. Each year, students at all four schools enter numerous artistic competitions, which results in many achievements and extraordinary experiences.

Pieces by Memorial Junior High School students Renine (Grace) Castor and Casey Woluewich and South High School students Wardah Aziz, Valerie Lenis, Nicolas Quinones, Dylan Roca and Megan Ward, were submitted to the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook. Their work will be showcased through April 16, and the artists will be recognized at a reception on April 2 along with other Nassau County participants.

Many of Memorial’s art students will also have their work spotlighted at the 9th Annual Art in the HeART Exhibit, which runs through April 23 at the Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa. This event is held in celebration of Youth Art Month.
