South High School celebrated its annual homecoming festivities on Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21. The two days featured several traditional occasions, including two pep rallies, dances, a festival, a parade around the track and a victorious football game.

The student classes and clubs displayed banners as the marching band provided music. The marching band received spotlight again during halftime, along with the talented and spirited colorguard, cheerleaders, kickline and step squad. Seniors Tiara McDougle and Nick Hernandez were crowned 2017 homecoming queen and king.

The Falcons demonstrated their athletic skill and excellent sportsmanship in a strong game against the Oyster Bay Baymen that ended in a 32-14 win. Applause and cheers rose from the bleachers in support of South High School throughout the four quarters.
