Spirits were high for families and fans of the Central High School during their homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 21. Held at Fireman’s Field, the football game placed the Eagles against Garden City’s Trojans for a tough and exciting match.

Festivities began the day prior, when a pep rally held at the high school boosted enthusiasm for the subsequent game. Community members of all ages came out and packed the stands with blue in support of their home team. Senior football players were walked out onto the field by their parents, to the applause of cheerleaders and teammates.

Adam Birch and Nazia Seelochan were named homecoming king and queen, and halftime featured a banner parade based on the event’s “Decades” theme. The band and cheerleaders kept spectators and athletes filled with energy and determination.
