Students in the district are ready to enjoy new educational books, thanks to a donation from Gregoris Subaru of Valley Stream in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

The contribution was provided through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, which supports a love of learning and interest in science for students in schools across the country.

On Nov. 2, Richard Gregoris of Gregoris Subaru visited Memorial Junior High School to deliver award-winning, informative science books including “Treecology” by Monica Russo and “Crow Smarts” by Pamela Turner. He presented them to science classes in the building’s library, where they will be available for use.

A total of 150 books were gifted to the district, and will be distributed among Memorial, Central, North and South.
