Central High School congratulates talented photography student Nyallah Abrahams for placing second in two categories of the Photographic Federation of Long Island Youth Photography Contest. Her entries were up against those submitted by students throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. As winners, her photographs advanced to the Photographic Society of America National High School Photography contest and were accepted for exhibit.

Nyallah’s distinctions were earned in the Scapes Digital Photography and the Architecture Print Photography categories for the respective pieces, “5 AM on the Millennium” and “Tate Modern.” Earlier this school year she was named a finalist in the Photographer's Forum Magazine High School Contest and, as a result, will have her work published in June. She was also a PFLI winner and PSA Exhibitor last year.

PFLI, a member of the PSA, is a voluntary non-profit organization of camera clubs from Nassau and Suffolk counties and the five boroughs of New York City. It is dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of photography.
