The Valley Stream North High School Spartans played a strong football game against Roosevelt High School on Sept. 29, when the community gathered in the sun for the 2018 homecoming celebrations. The stands radiated with support from fans and cheerleaders rooting for their home team.
In keeping with North tradition, a Varsity Breakfast honored senior athletes. A parade presented banners created by and representative of students in grades 7-11. The classes displayed their well-designed, carefully constructed banners in a friendly competition.

The game kicked off at 2 p.m. and included a halftime show that featured the cheerleaders, kickline and marching band. The Spartans’ mascot also got the crowd excited and offered high fives. A pep rally was held the day prior and included the crowning of homecoming king and queen. A dance followed later that evening.
