Central High School pride soared during the 2018 homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 13. Held at Fireman’s Field, the football game placed the Eagles against Elmont Memorial for an action-packed match.

Celebrations began the day prior, when a pep rally held at the high school rallied excitement for the game. Community members came out and filled the stands with blue in support of their home team. As a continuation of an honored tradition, senior football players were walked out onto the field by their parents to the applause of teammates.

Micheal Bennett and Lauren Jones were named homecoming king and queen, and halftime featured a banner parade. The band and cheerleaders kept spectators and athletes filled with energy and determination.
