Valley Stream Central High School’s Acting Concentration students, joined by one Theatre Production student, put in a wonderful showing at Hofstra University's 70th Annual Shakespeare Scene and Design Competition on March 7. Courtney Chamblin was honored with the Best Actor award for the second year in a row as the title character from Macbeth. The rest of the students flawlessly exhibited their outstanding ensemble work in the famous “Double, double, toil and trouble” witches scene (Act IV, scene 1) from the play, earning them well-deserved recognition and praise from the university’s adjudication panel, comprised of faculty from the Hofstra University department of Drama and Dance.

The Performing Arts Program will present its next Showcase on April 3rd at 6:30 p.m.!
