The Valley Stream North High School Spartans played a victorious homecoming football game on their new turf field on Sept. 28. Members of the community gathered to support their home team, which took a 22-13 win against Levittown’s Division Avenue High School.

Earlier that day, a Varsity Breakfast honored senior athletes and a parade displayed banners created by students in each grade. The game kicked off at 2 p.m. and included a halftime show that featured the kickline and marching band. The Spartans’ mascot also got the crowd excited and offered high fives, and the cheerleaders boosted enthusiasm throughout the events.

A pep rally was held on Sept. 27 and included the crowning of Tim McGrath and Victoria Alcala as homecoming king and queen. A dance followed later that evening.
