Two Central High School seniors have been awarded the prestigious Quest Bridge College Match scholarship. Avinash Gajai and Trinity Kellarakos will attend Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively, and will each receive full scholarships to cover attendance, tuition, room and board, books and travel expenses. 

After reviewing 14,926 applications, Quest Bridge selected 5,842 Finalists who were considered for the College Match Scholarship. Of these Finalists, 1,127 exceptional students hailing from 47 states and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico were selected. 

Both students expect to complete 12 Advanced Placement courses by graduation and are members of the National Honor Society as well as other honor societies at Central. Avinash is Valley Stream Junior Fire Department secretary and hopes to pursue studies in the field of aerospace after high school. Trinity is a State Thespian Officer for the New York chapter of the International Thespian Honor Society and serves as president of the Math Honor Society, in addition to other honor society leadership roles. She aspires to pursue the field of international relations.
