FRESHMAN YEAR

o Build strong academic skill by taking challenging courses
o Study hard and get excellent grades
o Become involved in school activities and volunteer for community activities
o Meet with your counselor to discuss your plans for the next four years
o Find out NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) requirements if you want to play sports in college
o Begin building your Student Resume by keeping track of your activities, honors, work experience and academic record
o Begin saving money for college
o Attend Early College Information Night
o Register for SAT II tests, if appropriate
o While on vacation plan on visiting college campuses
