FOUR SELECTED TO NYSSMA
ALL-STATE CONFERENCE
The Valley Stream CHSD is pleased to announce that four students have been selected to perform at the NYSSMA 76th Annual Winter Conference held in Rochester, NY during the first week of December. These students were selected by audition, from 11th and 12th grade students across New York State, based on scores they received at the solo festival last year. These students are:
Danielle Andreani - Clarinet - Symphonic Band - North HS Christine Cinnamo - Alto - Mixed Chorus - North HS Michela Christianson - Viola - Symphony Orchestra - South HS Jason Shen - Piano - Wind Ensemble - Central HS
Additionally, Jason was selected to perform in the Piano Showcase held that weekend as well. The CHSD also had Richard Arriaga from Central HS selected as an alternate to the choir. |
