-sou   (for South students)

-nor   (for North students)

-cen   (for Central students)

-mem (for Memorial students)

                        (Students with common last names may have a # after 1^st initial)

Your Password: It is the same as your school network password

To Access an assignment posted by a teacher:

-          Click teacher’s name

-          Click Activity

-          Click description of assignment posted by teacher

To Create your own assignment:

-          Click the drop down menu arrow under Math, English, Science or Social Studies

-          Click course name (intermediate for 7^th and 8^th grade)

-          Click go

-          Click Short Answer Review

-          Click Sessions you Create Yourself

-          Click Create a New Short Answer Session

-          Click topic currently working on in math

-          Click or unclick topics desired

-          Scroll to bottom of page

-          Enter Number of questions desired (10-50)

-          Enter Name of assignment

-          Click begin assignment

To access Student created assignments :

-          Click Home Page

-          Click subject and go

-          Click course name and go

-          Click short answer review

-          Click sessions you create yourself

-          Click on date of assignment created

To review Flash Cards before completing teacher or self created assignment:

-          Follow procedure to get to teacher’s assignment or assignment you created yourself

-          Click index card icon within the posted assignment

-          Read word and recite definition in your head

-          Click  to see definition

-          Click next to get to next flashcard

-          Click return to assignment to return to the assignment

Internet Safety - Smart Surfing

The first rule of smart Internet surfing is to remain as anonymous as possible. That means keeping all private information private. Here are some examples of private information that you should never give out on the Internet; full name, home address, phone number, Social Security number, passwords, names of family members and credit card numbers.  Most credible people and companies will never ask for this type of information online. So if someone does, it should be a red flag that they may be up to no good.  Think carefully before you create an email address or screen names.

In chat rooms or social sites, use a nickname that's different from your screen name. That way, if you ever find yourself in a conversation that makes you uncomfortable, you can exit without having to worry that someone knows your screen name and can track you down via email.  If you ever get involved in a chat room conversation that makes you feel uncomfortable or in danger for any reason, exit and tell a parent or other adult right away so they can report the incident.
