Memorial Junior High School was awarded a $2,000 grant from PhRMA (Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America) to enhance its STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) program, led by Melissa Hayden and Christopher Viggiano. This opportunity was made possible thanks to Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages' office, which recommended Memorial as a school with a strong commitment to STEM. The Assemblywoman and members of the district gathered for a ceremony on March 9.
