Orchestral Opportunities

1 thumbnail113111
On March 18, four members of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam String Department faculty visited Valley Stream North and Central high schools to perform for and work with orchestra students. They spent the first part of their day at North performing a variety of music that included modern string trios, solo fiddling, and a Gregorian chant inspired quartet. Following the performance, the Breakfast Club Chamber Orchestra had an interactive workshop and coaching session with the Crane faculty members as well. The Crane faculty musicians then moved over to Central High School where they worked with select students, helping to prepare them for their upcoming NYSSMA solo evaluations and All-State auditions.
