The Valley Stream Central High School football program held its first “Letter of Intent Day” for Memorial Junior High School football players. On March 29, athletes were joined by their parents in the Memorial Library to discuss the growing success of the football program, Central academic success, spring/summer clinics and the college recruiting process through Central coaches.

Memorial athletes tried on varsity jerseys and made their commitment to the Central football program. Current Central players met with memorial student-athletes to discuss the dedication and discipline needed to be successful at the high school level.

“I am extremely proud of our current players, and the standards they have set for the future. Memorial has a talented group of student-athletes who are buying into the process early” said Varsity Head Coach Michael Rubino.

The Central football program will hold their annual summer clinic June 24-27, followed by clinics throughout the summer (Monday to Thursday).
