KATHY HARDY
I received my Master of Science in Education from Long Island University and have worked as a school counselor for Valley Stream Central High School for 6 years. My caseload consists of tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders whose last names range from R-Z. TINA KOSEL
I received a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree in Education from Queens College. I earned my M.S. degree in school conseling at St. John's and, in addition, I hold a Professional Diploma from Queens College. I have been a guidance couselor at Central High School for over fifteen years.

RON RINI
I come to Valley Stream High School District with my B.A in Spanish from SUNY at Old Westbury and my M.S. in Counseling from Hofstra University. I also hold an advanced degree in School District Administration from SUNY Stony Brook. I have been a very involved counselor at Valley Stream Central High School since 1995. I serve students in grades 10-12 whose last name begins with the letters M-R.
It is my pleasure to work with the Valley Stream community and help its youngsters realize their potential. A good education is the foundation for a successful career and life. Amy La Personerie
I grew up on Long Island and even stayed here for college. I received my B.A. in Psychology and my Masters in School Counseling from Hofstra University. I began my career at Memorial Junior High School and enjoyed every aspect of helping young students grow and develop into the best people they could be. While working at Memorial I also completed a professional diploma in Educational Administration from L.I.U.

Currently I am a counselor at Central High School. I have a caseload of 250 students, which consists of tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade students whose last names are mostly between E-L.

I value my role as counselor. Everyday is wonderfully unique. I address students’ academic and emotional concerns, relationship problems, and a variety of crises. I assist teachers, parents, and students with a variety of issues. I also assist students to develop their career and college plans. The students have my trust, respect, and honesty and this is why I believe I make a positive difference in each one of them.
