Welcome Back to School 2005!

This website is a crucial element to your success in this class this year.  You will be required to complete assignments, quizzes, and blogs using the internet. 

In addition to the "usual" coursework completed in a high school social studies class, there will be an ongoing authentic project during this school year.  Details will follow.

This is a list of expected assignments for this course. 

• Chapter questions from the textbook.

• Online quizzes based on reading the textbook.

• Selected articles from The Lanahan Readings in the American Polity

• In class exams

• Research projects

• Essays

• Group tasks

• Debates/discussions

• Blogging

There are extra credit opportunities that become available on an ongoing basis.  They usually involve research on a topic being covered in class.  Take advantage of them as they come up instead of waiting until the end of a marking period.
