On an ongoing basis, groups of students will be presenting current news updates about various topics in politics and government.  They include:

• Legislative - What national laws and lawmakers are in the news?

• Legal - What national issues are the courts dealing with, and what is the issue with the courts?

• Leadership - What is the president and other leaders up to?

• Local - What major news is there on the state and local government level?

• Economics - What macroeconomic issues are facing the nation?

• International - What is the latest on the War in Iraq and other worldwide American interests?

Each week your group will present updates on your topic.  Updates will be shared using a variety of means, including methods as simple as small and large group discussions, or as complex as PowerPoint presentations or videos. 

When presenting information, be sure to have the answers to the basic questions of journalism:

• WHO

• WHAT

• WHERE

• WHY

• WHEN

• HOW
