All students will be encouraged to become fluent readers, writers and thinkers within a cooperative and supportive learning environment, which encourages multiple learning styles and authentic assessments. While students will be well prepared for state assessments, there will also be a great deal of emphasis on independent reading, cooperative learning, research projects, shared inquiry and writers' workshops.
