Our school is dedicated to the education of students in grades 7 – 9 in the Valley Stream Central High School District. We are focused on providing our students with the academic and social tools they need to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Our teaching staff is comprised of knowledgeable, talented professionals who work diligently with our students to enable them to academically excel in their studies. Using rigorous and challenging classroom instruction and clearly defined expectations our teachers outline goals and paths for student success. Each teacher dedicates their talents and energies to instilling in their students a sense of responsibility and a love of learning.

Learning is not limited to the academic classroom. Memorial has an extensive array of extra curricular clubs and athletic teams which extend student learning. Because of this our students are able to explore interests, strengthen their present skills and learn new ones. Our diverse population provides an excellent view of the richness various cultures can bring to a learning community. Pride and respect are key elements of Memorial and we work daily to build a sense of community both in and outside our school. Everyone at Memorial is dedicated to providing a rigorous academic program in a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.

The sense of “team spirit” is built on a daily basis by the interaction between staff, students and parents. Our parents play an important role in our school as they actively participate on committees, in the PTSA and our Eagles Club, continually giving their support and encouragement.
