Physical Education Department
The
physical education program of the
The program is a carefully
planned sequence of learning experiences that are designed to promote the
growth, development and behavior needs of each student through participation in
purposeful and enjoyable activities.
Listed below are the curriculum of activities at both the Junior High
and Senior High levels.

The physical education student,
who learns and participates in team sports within the program, shall have the
opportunity to achieve each of the following goals:

An appreciation of all
levels of performance and achievement, including that of others to a higher or

physical education student who participates in personal fitness promotion
activities shall be able to develop each of the following goals:

physical education student who participates in an adapted program shall have

levels of performance and achievement, including that of others to a higher or

The
adapted program shall be individually designed to meet each student’s need.
1. A
student may be eligible to participate in the adapted program when a student:
a.
demonstrates and
achieves a low physical fitness score, or
b.
is recuperating from
injuries or accidents, or
c.
is convalescing from a
long or short term illness and is fit to attend school, or is suspected or
identified with a handicapping condition that would limit success in the basic
program.
The physical education student who
participates in dance education activities will be able to develop the skills,
knowledge, understanding and an appreciation for dance to last a lifetime.
The
physical education student who participates in individual and dual lifetime
sports activities shall have the opportunity to achieve each of the following
goals appropriate to the activities:
